From the negotiating table to the screen
Sandra Thaler's path to art is itself a story of transformation. Before devoting herself entirely to painting, she was a successful business mediator. This experience in mediating between opposing points of view is now reflected in her art: instead of mediating between people, she now mediates between materials. In her studio in Steyr, she brings together the rough, final material of ash with the eternal radiance of gold.

The power of the elements
Sandra Thaler is a contemporary artist whose work uniquely captures the elemental forces of nature and the complex relationships between people. Known for their profound symbolism and inspirational impact, Thaler's works reflect her creative genius and deep connection to the natural world.

Material as expression – ash, gold, and custom pigments
Thaler experiments with a variety of techniques and materials. Central to her work is the use of ash, which creates unique color pigments and structures. She also works with tape art, palette knife and pouring techniques, and produces her own pigments, giving her paintings a very personal touch. Particularly noteworthy is her work with acrylic paints and gold, which gives her paintings extraordinary depth and vibrancy. The combination of these materials creates a fascinating symbiosis of realism and abstraction.

Humans and nature – between harmony and tension
Thematically, Thaler's works are deeply profound. They explore the relationship between humans and nature, revealing both harmony and tension. Her images encourage us to reflect on our own connection to nature and our role in life.
